Ingredients/ Method

8-10 small potatoes ( I used Petite merlot for the recipe). If you are using bigger ones, use 4-5.
2 tbsp oil
1 small onion chopped
3-4 cloves of garlic
salt per taste
5-6 cups of water
1 tsp seasoning pepper
1 tsp crushed cumin seeds
Cilantro and green onion for garnish

– Heat oil in a pan and add onions and garlic. Add salt and cumin.
– Fry onions for 3-4 mins. Add potatoes and cook them for 4-5 mins. Add water and bring it to boil. Turn the heat down and let potatoes simmer for 15-20 mins ( depending on the quantity you are preparing)
– Season with pepper. Garnish with cilantro and green onions and serve.

  4. Who the heck doesn't like potato soup so much they would down vote this ?

I usually make a corn & potato chowder & make it creamy but not full of fat by using an immersion blender on about half the potatoes to thicken the soup.  This looks & sounds like a tasty variation for me to try with the different seasonings & consistency.

    Thanks!

  5. The potatoes look very different from the ones I have seen
