Indian Spicy Masala Porridge

Serves two

  1. one cup (240g) of porridge oats
  2. one tsp cumin seeds
  3. two ½ cups h2o
  4. one/two small onion, thinly sliced
  5. one tomato diced, diced into ½ cm items
  6. one small carrot, diced into ½ cm items
  7. two broccoli florets, cut into small chunks
  8. one environmentally friendly birds eye chilli, finely chopped (optional)
  9. 1tsp salt or according to style
  10. ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  11. ¼ tsp paprika
  12. ¼ tsp garam masala
  13. one/4 tsp amchur/mango powder (optional)
  14. handful clean coriander, finely chopped
  1. Warmth a non-adhere pan and insert the porridge oats and cumin.
  2. Toast on medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring repeatedly.
  3. When you see the oats becoming to alter color and develop into a bit darker, insert the h2o quickly.
  4. Boost the heat to higher and insert the tomatoes, carrots, broccoli and chilli.
  5. Mix well. Now insert salt, turmeric, paprika, garam masala and amchur.
